Metsä bioproduct pulp mill opening

Metsa ÄÄNEKOSKI – Metsä Group is on schedule to start-up its new €1.2 billion bioproduct pulp mill – representing the largest investment in the history of Finland’s forest industry – later this month. The production capacity of the mill in Äänekoski is 1.3 million tons of pulp a year and it will also produce other bioproducts, such as tall oil, turpentine, product gas and sulphuric acid.
