SWM to acquire Conwed Plastics
Advanced materials company SWM has agreed to acquire plastic netting manufacturer Conwed Plastics for US$295 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close during Q1 2017.

Engineered products manufacturer Lydall, which serves the filtration, separation and acoustic markets, has agreed to acquire MGF Gutsche for approximately US$58 million.
Nordson elects new corporate VP
The board of directors at Nordson Corporation has elected a new corporate vice president for its industrial coatings systems (ICS) business segment. Stephen Lovass joins the company from environmental and applied solutions company Danaher Corporation, and will replace Douglas Bloomfield, who retires at the end of 2016 after nearly 30 years of service.
